MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- - The Moscow Arbitration Court registered a 330.449 billion ruble suit against oil major Rosneft and its subsidiary Bashneft by multi-industry holding Sistema on Tuesday and the Arbitration Court of the republic of Bashkortostan scheduled a preliminary hearing of a 131.6 billion ruble counter-claim for January 12.
Sistema’s suit arrived to the court on Monday, the proceedings have not started. The matter of the suit was not disclosed.
Rosneft and Bashneft asked the court to take restrictive measures against Sistema under their case.
Sistema said on December 8 that it planned to sue Rosneft and Bashneft for unjust enrichment in 2017 during litigations with Sistema. The holding said it is ready for an amicable settlement of the conflict.
Rosneft said on December 7 that it would sue Sistema for 131.6 billion rubles, which is the amount of dividends that Sistema received from Bashneft from 2009 till 2014 except paid taxes.
In August, the Arbitration Court of the republic of Bashkortostan partially satisfied a 170.6 billion ruble suit filed by Rosneft, Bashneft and the republic of Bashkortostan, where Bashneft is located, to charge Sistema and its affiliate Sistema-Invest for the losses allegedly caused to Bashneft in 2014 during its reorganization. In 2014, Sistema was the core owner of Bashneft. The court decision has not entered in force as both sides are contesting it.
In June, the Arbitration Court of the republic of Bashkortostan issued an order to seize what it assessed as 185 billion rubles worth of assets of Sistema, including a 31.76% stake in mobile operator MTS, 100% in healthcare company Medsi, and 90.5% in Bashkir Power Grid Company, under the case with Rosneft and its unit Bashneft.
Sistema said that it failed to receive 9.9 billion rubles of dividends from its key asset, mobile operator MTS, due to the ban imposed by a bailiff.
